The London Lightning semi pro basketball team will visit the Fusion Youth Centre in Ingersoll on Monday.
INGERSOLL - Members from the London Lightning semi pro basketball team are coming to Ingersoll on Monday night.
The guys will offering up some basketball tips and will play a quick pickup game with the kids. Manager of the Fusion Youth Centre Andrea Brown tells Heart FM the kids are really excited to learn from the pro's.
"They are very excited, they have been signing up and they are excited to meet the players, play a game and learn some new skills."
All youth between the ages of 12-18 are invited to come out to this free event. You are asked to pre register with the youth centre and the Lightning players will be at the centre from 7-8 pm on Monday night. Brown says they are hoping this will be the start of a relationship with the Lightning.
"So this is the first time we connected with the London Lightning team, we know that they are very involved in the community and like to do community events so we asked if they would come to the youth centre and they said and of course we would love to have them come back on an ongoing basis if the Lightning are interested in coming back."
