Oxford OPP are warning of a mail scam. A South-West-Oxford resident recently received a 4-thousand dollar cheque in the mail, with a letter saying she had been selected to be a "secret shopper". There were directions about wiring money to other secret shoppers. The woman took the cheque to the bank, and they informed her it was likely a scam. Investigation revealed the cheque was bogus. Police advise residents to be wary of unsolicited job offers and quick money making ventures.
