The Norwich Merchants suffered a 4-3 loss against the New Hamburg Firebirds last night. Game 5 is scheduled for tomorrow night at the Wilmot Recreation Complex.
PJHL - It was a close one, but the New Hamburg Firebirds did beat the Norwich Merchants last night with a final score of 4-3.
New Hamburg is now leading the best of seven series 3-1 and Game 5 is scheduled for tomorrow night at the Wilmot Recreation Complex. The puck will drop at 7:30 p.m. and the winner of the series will face the Woodstock Navy Vets in the next round of the playoffs. The first game of the semifinal series is currently scheduled for Tuesday March 22nd at Southwood Arena.
The Wellesley Apple Jacks advanced to the next round of the playoffs Tuesday night after celebrating a 3-1 win over the Hespler Shamrocks. The Apple Jacks won the series 4-0 and they will now face the Tavistock Braves in the semifinals.
The Thamesford Trojans will also be hitting the ice tomorrow night for a matchup against the Dolphins in Dorchester. The puck will drop at the Dorchester Arena at 7:30 p.m. and that playoff series is currently tied 2-2.
The Merchants, Firebirds, Apple Jacks, Shamrocks, Navy Vets and Braves all play in the PJHL's Doherty Division. The Trojans and the Dolphins are part of the Yeck Division.
