Sixty-eight new electric vehicle charging stations will open in Oxford County.
OXFORD COUNTY - Good news for electric vehicle owners in Oxford County!
The Ford Government has announced 68 new electric vehicle charging stations for Oxford with 49 of them located throughout the City of Woodstock. MPP Ernie Hardeman shared the news in a press release this morning.
"For EV drivers finding a charging station that’s close by and available can mean the difference between a quick stop and a time-consuming detour that takes time away from work, school or family. I’m proud to be delivering 68 new EV charging stations in communities across Oxford to make life easier and more convenient for drivers."
You can find a list of all of the new charging station locations below:
- 24 new chargers at Home2Suites by Hilton in Woodstock
- 10 new chargers at Holiday Inn Express in Woodstock
- 8 new chargers at Woodstock Hospital

- 3 new chargers at Quality Hotel and Suites, Woodstock
- 3 new chargers at Princeton hall

Energy Minister Stephen Lecce says the new charging sites will include Level 2 charging stations, Level 3 charging stations, or a combination of the two.
"With more than 201,000 electric vehicles on the road in Ontario, we’re putting shovels in the ground to build more charging stations and make life easier for drivers. That includes a focus on smaller and underserved communities across our province where we are providing more certainty for parents and workers during their commutes."
