The Township of Norwich has put out a statement saying they have not provided permission, nor do they support the Freedom Convoy, which is expected to stop at the Norwich Community Centre.
NORWICH - A Freedom convoy featuring over 100 vehicles will be rolling through Oxford County this weekend.
They will be leaving Tillsonburg around noon on Saturday, making stops in Norwich, Ingersoll and Woodstock. Organizers call this a family friendly protest against Government imposed mandates and lockdowns.
The Township of Norwich has issued a statement about the convoy. It reads as follows:
Norwich was the site of a massive protest last year, which featured several prominent politicians, including Independent MP Derek Sloan.
The City of Woodstock, Town of Ingersoll and Town of Tillsonburg have not issued any kind of statement about the convoy at the time of this posting.
