Health Minister Christine Elliott is reporting 5,852 new cases of COVID-19 today.
ONTARIO - Ontario is reporting 5,852 new cases of COVID-19 today. Officials have also confirmed 70 new deaths related to the virus
Health Minister Christine Elliott says a total of 3,645 people are currently hospitalized with COVID-19. She says 56 percent of those patients were admitted to the hospital for COVID and the rest of the patients tested positive for the virus after being admitted to hospital for other reasons.
Elliott adds 599 people are currently being treated for the virus in the ICU and 82 percent of those patients were first admitted to the ICU because of the virus.
599 people are in ICU with #COVID19. 82% of patients admitted to the ICU were admitted for COVID-19 and 18% were admitted for other reasons but have tested positive for COVID-19.
