OXFORD COUNTY - The fourth annual Oxford Tourism Awards of Excellence have been handed out.
On Tuesday, tourism innovators and collaborators were at Innerkip Highlands Golf Club for the event. Udderly Ridiculous Farm Life took home two awards, including Tourism Partnership and Special Event of the Year, second recipient. The first recipient for Special Event of the Year was Ingersoll Cheese and Agricultural Museum for their Mystic Market. Rounding out the award winners is Transitions Equine Assisted Learning, who was awarded with Best New Tourism Product for their Cowgirl Kickback experience.
Tourism Specialist with Oxford County, Meredith Maywood is thrilled with the growth that is happening with tourism in the County.
"Oxford’s tourism industry is thriving, with amazing experiences available throughout the County. The judges faced a tough decision with so many outstanding nominations from a growing number of tourism businesses that help us to Embrace Our Rural Routes and keep guests returning to Oxford County."
Winners were chosen by a panel of external judges with representatives from provincial tourism organizations outside of Oxford County. For more information about the winners and the categories, you can visit the Oxford County website.
