It is another weekend of Junior C hockey for the teams in Oxford County.
PJHL - The stretch drive of the regular season is here as the teams in Oxford County battle for playoff positioning.
Starting with the Woodstock Navy Vets, they will be busy this weekend with three games in just as many days. First, the Vets will be at Southwood Arena tonight as they welcome the Hespeler Shamrocks, with game time set for 7:45 p.m. Then, tomorrow, they will hit the road to the Brant Sports Complex to take on the Paris Titans at 7:30 p.m. Lastly, on Sunday afternoon, the Vets travel to New Hamburg to battle the Firebirds at the Wilmot Recreation Complex. Puck drop will be at 3:30 p.m.
Moving on to the Norwich Merchants, they welcome the Paris Titans to NOR-DEL Arena tonight, and the game will get underway at 8 p.m. It will then be a trip to Hespeler on Sunday as the Merchants take on the Shamrocks at the Hespeler Memorial Arena, with the puck slated to drop at 3:30 p.m.
The Tavistock Braves will lace up the skates all three days this weekend. Tonight, they welcome the Wellesley Applejacks to the Tavistock and District Recreation Centre, and the game will begin at 7:30 p.m. Up next is a trip to Dorchester tomorrow night as they do battle with the Dolphins at the FlightExec Centre at 7:30 p.m. Then on Sunday, the Braves are on the road to Paris to take on the Titans at the Brant Sports Complex, with the scheduled game time at 7:30 p.m.
Moving to the Yeck Division, the Thamesford Trojans will see the ice twice this weekend. Tonight, the Trojans are on home ice at the Thamesford Area Recreation Centre as the Lucan Irish visit. Game time will be 7:30 p.m. To finish off the weekend, the Trojans will make the trip to the Tri-Town Ice Arena in Mount Brydges to take on the Bulldogs tomorrow at 7:30 p.m.
