Police are going from truck to truck, telling them to leave or face the consequences.
Ottawa protestors are being warned by Police that it is time to move on.
Officers have been giving out notices downtown, telling protestors to leave amd anyone who doesn't could get arrested. They have left notices in the windshields of trucks and empty vehicles. The Emergencies Act will allow police to seize vehicles that are part of the demonstration and ban others from certain areas of the city.
The Emergencies Act also states it is illegal to bring children to an anti Government blockade. Several truck drivers are down there with their entire families with children ranging in age from infants to teenagers.
The Children's Aid Society of Ottawa has gotten involved as well, urging parents at the demonstration to find alternate care for their children, following the potential police action.
The Society will work to reunite families if and when the separations do happen.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has repeatedly stated they will not use force against the protestors.
Many on the front lines have been adamant they will not leave downtown Ottawa until mandates are lifted. It remains to be seen what is going to happen in the coming days. Global news reporter Abigail tweeted a picture today of a toilet set up downtown, where protestors seem to be sticking the notices.
