The Ford Government has removed the indoor capacity limits for most settings where proof of vaccination is required. This includes gyms, movie theatres and restaurant dining rooms.
ONTARIO - Gyms, movie theatres and restaurant dining rooms won't have to worry about capacity limits over the Family Day long weekend.
The province is loosening some of the COVID restrictions today. This includes getting rid of the capacity limits for indoor public settings where proof of vaccination is required.
However, capacity limits will still be in effect for some places. Nightclubs and other higher risk settings will be able to have up to 25 percent capacity, while sports arenas and concert venues will be able to have up to 50 percent their seated capacity.
Weddings, funerals and other religious ceremonies won't have to worry about capacity limits if they are outdoors or if they decide to check proof of vaccination. Those events will be limited based on the number of people who can maintain two-metres of physical distancing otherwise.
The Ford Government is currently planning on removing all capacity limits and the vaccine passport program on March 1st. Masking requirements will remain in effect.
