The event has been going on for close to ten years, which happens this Saturday. It will be going on at the Cheese and Agricultural Museum in Ingersoll, going from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
INGERSOLL - Pumpkinfest returns to Ingersoll this weekend.
The local event will be going on at the Cheese and Agricultural Museum.
Curator Scott Gillies says it's a fun event for the whole family.
"There will be a variety of children's crafts for people to do, different games and activities to participate in. There will be face-painting, there will be food vendors."
He adds there will be food vendors on hand selling cotton candy and hot dogs, along with the Olde Bakery Cafe
He says people will have a chance to win a pumpkin.
"It's a chance to celebrate fall, get ready for Halloween. The site's going to turn orange for the day, it's more than just colored cheddar cheese so we do have lots of orange pumpkins that we're getting from Thames River Melons again this year. They're always awesome-looking pumpkins."
There are over 400 pumpkins this year.
Gillies adds people will be given a passport when they arrive, giving them directions for where to go on the site. He says if they complete the prescribed number, they'll win the right to choose which pumpkin they want to take home.
He adds there will be popular attractions returning this year, including Candy In The Straw. Gillies also says the event will be introducing a few more activities that will be different than the ones held in previous years. The event has been going on for close to ten years.
Pumpkinfest is free and it goes on Saturday from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
