ZORRA - The building of homes continues to be a hot topic in Oxford County.
Warden of the County, Marcus Ryan posted a video on Oxford County's Facebook page and says there is homes coming to Zorra Township.
"In 2019, Zorra Township and Oxford County bought and sold an unused industrial property, conditional on a certain price and type of development. This is going to deliver over 1000 residential units."
Ryan adds it will be a combination of single family homes, town homes, and apartment units.
He states that residents of Zorra will see substantial benefits.
"By the end of 2024, it will have net profited Zorra residents $4,000,000. Yes, we are building over 1000 homes, a 20% increase for the Township."
Ryan says the profit will be able to be used to reduce tax pressure, maintain infrastructure, or increase services.
