INGERSOLL - To be or not to be in Ingersoll's Centennial Park on July 15; that is the question.
Driftwood Outdoor Theatre is coming to Ingersoll and will be performing Shakespeare's classic Hamlet. Curator of the Ingersoll Cheese and Agriculture Museum Scott Gillies tells Heart FM you won't have to travel to the big city to see a world class performance. "It does have a big city feel, but at the same time it is an intimate experience, and the great thing about Driftwood is they bring a top quality performance to a small community, it's a pay what you can admission, whether you have $5 dollars or $50 dollars all donations are quite welcome, however the suggested donation price is $20.
Gillies adds Hamlet is one of the most famous plays in the world and has been adapted several times over the years in different books and movies. This will be a modern take on the classic and those in attendance are asked to bring blankets, bug spray and lawn chairs as they enjoy Shakespeare Under the Stars. Things get started at 7:30 at the Park.
