The Woodstock Navy Vets remain on top of the Doherty Division standings.
PJHL - The Woodstock Navy Vets celebrated a win and suffered a loss while on the road over the weekend.
They lost to the Tavistock Braves 5-2 on Friday, with Tyler Bouck making 38 saves for Woodstock.
They bounced back with a 5-3 victory over the Dorchester Dolphins on Saturday, scoring the first three goals in the first period. Kyle Arthur scored twice for Woodstock while the other goals were scored by Owen Ireton, Connor Stanley, and Ethan Markle.
The Braves went on to suffer a 6-2 loss to the New Hamburg Firebirds on Saturday.
The Norwich Merchants suffered two losses over the weekend; 8-4 to New Hamburg on Friday and 6-4 to the Wellesley Applejacks on Saturday.
The Navy Vets remain on top of the Doherty Division standings with 46 points. They're followed by the Applejacks with 44 points, the Firebirds with 41 points, the Braves with 38 points, and the Merchants with 35 points. The Hespeler Shamrocks lead the bottom three with 28 points and they're followed by the Paris Titans with 21 points and the Dolphins with 20 points.
Over in the Yeck Division, the Thamesford Trojans lost to the Mount Brydges Bulldogs 2-1 on Friday but they did shutout the Exeter Hawks 3-nothing on Saturday.
The Trojans are tied with the Stars for fourth place in the Yeck Division standings with 37 points each. They're behind the Bulldogs with 38 points, the Hawks with 40 points, and the Petrolia Flyers with 42 points.
