Oxford and Brant counties are under a snow squall watch while people in Huron and Perth are hunkering down as they remain under a warning.
A snow squall watch remains in effect for Oxford and Brant Counties.
A stiff Northwesterly flow is bringing in the coldest Arctic air we've seen so far this season, generating lake effect flurries off of Lake Huron.
The snow squalls are expected to move as far inland as Woodstock, Brantford, Cambridge, and Kitchener-Waterloo. The different regions could see anywhere from 10 to 20 cm under the strongest squalls to just a couple cm or less in some areas.
Strong winds will also be kicking up, whipping that freshly fallen snow across the roadways and creating white out conditions and near zero visibility.
Over in Huron and Perth counties they are under a warning. Lightning was reported near Goderich along with the squalls last night. They will also be seeing the gusty winds and blowing snow.
All motorists are being asked to use caution on the roadways and check the emergency kit in vehicles before heading out. The OPP remind everyone when you see snow, go slow!
