The United Way of Oxford is launching a new campaign designed to spread some Local Love.
WOODSTOCK/TILLSONBURG/INGERSOLL - The United Way Oxford is spreading a whole lot of Local Love with their new Campaign.
Local Love will officially launch on Thursday in Woodstock with a photo booth at Musuem Square from noon to 2:00 p.m. Executive Director Kelly Gilson says it promises to be a fun afternoon.
"We have some fun social media things we are going to be really promoting, Facebook and Instagram oppurtunities, oppurtunities to win and to really kind of engage and have some fun at all of the events."
Gilson explains why they are going with the Local Love campaign this year.
“United Way Oxford is about building strong communities in which everyone feels a sense of belonging, we wanted our campaign kick-off to reflect that – to encourage everyone to get involved, show their local love, and help us create an inclusive Oxford.”
Last year, United Way Oxford had their most successful campaign to date, thanks to the Vollmershausen Leadership Challenge Grant. They have set a $1.2 million fundraising goal this year.
They will also set up pop up shops at IDCI in Ingersoll during lunch hour and the Tillsonburg Town Centre on Friday from 3-5 p.m.
