Stratford Police Brief includes two teens arrested after a robbery and two men charged with trafficking crystal meth.
STRATFORD - Two arrests have been made after Stratford Police received reports of two men distributing crystal meth in the city.
The first arrest was made on March 31st - a 33 year old man has been charged with two counts of trafficking methamphetamine, possession for the purpose of trafficking, and breach of probation. Police also found 56 grams of methamphetamine worth around $5,600.
A 35 year old man was also arrested last Thursday, April 6th. He is facing charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking. Officers seized 75.8 grams of the drug as well as a digital scale and empty dime bags. The estimated total value rings in at $7,580.
A pair of teens are facing some grave charges after a robbery at The East End Variety store on Douro Street.
The robbery happened last month when two unknown men entered the store, brandished a weapon, and demanded cash. Money in hand, they fled the store.
Thanks to a joint effort from citizens and the media, the Stratford Police have now made two arrests:
A 14 year old young man has been charged with robbery with a firearm and two counts of failing to comply with conditions under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
A 15 year old has been charged with robbery with a firearm.
