Two people were home, but no injuries after a house fire on Township Road 5 this morning.
BLANDFORD-BLENHEIM - Nobody was injured after a fire this morning in Blandford-Blenheim Township.
Police Fire and EMS responded to the blaze on Township Road 5 at about 10:45 a.m. Two people home at the time of the fire and were able to escape without any injuries. The homeowner smelled smoke and discovered the woodshed was fully engulfed in flames. The fire did spread to the home as well. No word at this time as to how much damage the blaze caused.
Plattsville, Drumbo and Princeton fire stations all attended the scene to assist. OPP assisted with road closures in the area. The following Road Closure remains in effect: Township Road 5 between Motheral Road and Blenheim Road.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
