The Fall Fair kicks off Thursday with the official Opening Ceremonies taking place Friday evening.
EAST-ZORRA TAVISTOCK - The 167th Tavistock Fall Fair kicks off Thursday, September 4th.
President Alison Johnston says the theme for this year's festivities is "Barns".
The fair, which is hosted by the Agricultural Society, is a way of bringing people together according to Johnston. "It's to bring the community together, both rural and urban and to ensure that the community is aware that there is agricultural events happening in their own community."
Events will be taking place from Thursday to Sunday including Horse and Livestock shows, Buy (taste and judge) Local Soup, karate demos and of course the midway.
The annual fair ambassador competition take place Friday with a parade, Tavi's Got Talent and Rib Fest happening Saturday. The popular Lawn Tractor Races are part of the final day events, Sunday.
