The Mount Elgin Community Centre will see teams competing in next weekend's Trivia Afternoon. The goal of the event is to support a local family who has an ill child. The registration deadline is October 15th.
MOUNT ELGIN - People can start to gather their team for next weekend's Trivia Afternoon.
The event, run by the Mount Elgin United Church, will see teams of six people answer a variety of questions to win the top prize.
Organizer Joanne Davis says the goal is to support a local family who has an ill child.
"They have to take him back and forth to London hospital, which is a cost. You have to find a babysitter for children, you have to pay for parking. So we're willing to help this family out."
She says the family is in need and are associated with the Mount Elgin United Church.
The questions are made up by Davis and she says they're aren't hard to answer.
She says they're looking forward to having a fun afternoon.
"They're just general knowledge questions. They're not about one specific subject, they're just random questions so just bring out your thoughts and your pens and have a great time."
She adds a light lunch will be provided following the event.
Tickets are $20.00 per person and Davis says the deadline to register your team is October 15th.
For those interested in signing up you may call her at 519-485-1988. It starts at 2:00 pm on October 20th.
