The Ingersoll Choral Society is putting on a fun, interactive show in the style of a TV game show.
INGERSOLL - The Ingersoll Choral Society is getting ready for their biggest show of the year.
Music Through Time is presented as a broadcast of an old fashioned TV trivia game and will include actors and of course the local choir. Past President of the Society Jan Vicars tells Heart FM this promises to be a fun interactive experience for the audience.
"It's going to be done as if we are doing a tv game show, and we have a couple of actors and a game show host and a contestant, and the contestant will be able to ask the audience or ask the choir and phone a friend and she has to answer the question and the choir will either sing that song that will give her the answer to the question and then she gets to answer the question."
Vicars says this is the ultimate variety show and the choir will perform choral, solo, and small group ensembles with fan favourite songs from yesterday and today.
"There will be a lot of humour and a lot of really good music; there will be music from the renaissance period, Mozart, up to the current day - We are doing a song called Radioactive that some of the older members of the choir like myself didn't even know existed."
The performance is happening on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday of next week at the St. James Anglican Church Parish Hall in Ingersoll. All tickets are $20 and are available at Patina’s in Ingersoll, from any ICS member, or call Jacalyn at 519-425-0062.
