The Trews will play a free show in Southside Park on Saturday September 3rd, during the Cowapalooza celebrations in Woodstock.
WOODSTOCK - It's official, The Trews will be headlining this year's Cowapalooza celebration in Woodstock.
The band will hit the main stage in Southside Park for a free show on Saturday, September 3rd.
Kristen Broadhagen, the Manager of Special Events for Woodstock, says they have had the band booked for a while now but they couldn't make the official announcement until after The Trews played Rock the Park in London.
"It was a ticketed event, so it was just part of our contract with their booking agency. That's why we couldn't announce it before they performed there."
Cowapalooza usually takes place in mid-August, but Broadhagen says they had to re-schedule it for the Labour Day weekend this year to accommodate the band's busy schedule.
"They weren't available on the typical dates that Cowapalooza takes place so that's why we moved it to the Labour Day weekend. It's a great way to finish the summer and celebrate a great season."
This year's Cowapalooza will also include a classic car show on Friday, September 2nd, and a kids zone on the Saturday afternoon. You can find more information online here.
