There will be lots to do in Tillsonburg on July 1st, as the town celebrates Canada Day and it's 150th anniversary.
TILLSONBURG - Tillsonburg is looking to celebrate its 150th anniversary in a big way.
On Canada Day, it will host over a dozen events from fireworks to reptile shows.
The Chair of the Tillsonburg 150th committee Joan Weston, says all of the fun will kick off with the pancake breakfast at the Station Arts Centre.
"People can enjoy a great pancake breakfast from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Station Arts Centre. Afterwards from 11:00 a.m. to 11:20 a.m. we have our opening ceremonies for our 150th day of celebration."
Weston says they are excited to showcase the town's birthday and Canadian pride on Friday July 1st.
"Regularly on Canada Day there's a flag-raising ceremony at the cenotaph, we're having a Harvard Aircraft fly over, fun fair, and an awesome kids zone with mini-golf, cornhole toss, bouncy castles, dunk tank, craft, popcorn, and ice cream".
Weston says fireworks will also light up the night sky in Memorial Park starting at dusk.
