Toronto men arrested after returning to the scene of a crime.
WOODSTOCK - Two men from Toronto have been arrested on fraud charges in the Friendly City.
Woodstock Police were called to a business on Dundas Street on Tuesday after two purchases were made to buy health care products. The suspect used an American Express card to make two separate buys of over $2,000. The person working at the store notice the man was tampering with he debit/credit machine and called police. The suspect also asked for the transaction receipts that contained the gift card numbers before moving on to another business.
The man then went to another downtown store and bought 8 more American Express gift cards worth $500 each and 4 iTunes cards worth $500 each. He used two different credit cars to make the purchases and then left the store. Luckily the business was able to cancel all of the gift cards after being alerted to the fraud.
Police says the two suspects returned to the store on Thursday and police were called.
A 28 year old man and a 25 year old man, both from Toronto were arrested at the scene and are facing a number of fraud related charges.
