The TVDSB will be sending it's Traumatic Events Response Team to Oakridge Secondary School following the recent vehicle attack in London.
LONDON - The Thames Valley District School Board has issued a statement regarding the London vehicle attack.
It says one of the victims was a student at Oakridge Secondary School in London, but it did not release their name at the request of the family.
The school board will be sending it's Traumatic Events Response Team to Oakridge and other impacted schools. It's also going to extend supports to the London Islamic School.
London Police say a Muslim family of five were targeted in the hate-motivated attack Sunday night. Four people were killed; 74-year-old woman, a 46-year-old man, a 44-year-old woman and a 15-year-old girl. A nine-year-old boy remains in hospital with serious injuries.
20-year-old Nathaniel Veltman of London has been charged with four counts of murder and one count of attempted murder.
