Chilly Charlie will be at Southgate Centre for the annual prediction breakfast and Chili Cook Off
WOODSTOCK - Chilly Charlie is getting ready to make his annual appearance in the Friendly City.
Woodstock's favourite groundhog will be stopping by Southgate Centre's Prediction Breakfast this Thursday morning which will run from 7:30 a.m. until 9 a.m. Pancakes and sausages are on the menu and Charlie will be making his annual prediction shortly after 8 a.m.
The breakfast will be followed by the Chili Cook Off, which will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Operations Manager Felise Jones tells Heart FM this will be the 15th year of Groundhog Day celebrations in Woodstock.
"We've always had the breakfast and the prediction and then just three years ago we introduced the Chili Cook Off to add to that."
Admission to the breakfast will cost $3 with the exception of kids under the age of 5 while the Chili Cook off will cost $10 a person. Tickets for both events will be available at the door but Jones adds you can also purchase your tickets at Southgate Centre ahead of time.
"You can also get them in advance here and that's both for the breakfast and for the cook off. If not, you can also get the cook off tickets at the First Ontario Credit Union as well as Merrifield Book Shop."
