Perth County OPP had to lay down the spike belt on a stolen Cadillac last night. Police received a call from the car's On Star system, just after 8 o'clock Wednesday night. The Cadillac had been stolen from East Wilmot Township. Police tracked it down and Perth Road 130 at Line 14, just north of St. Mary's. Luckily for the vehicle, the 17-year-old driver stopped within inches of the spike belt. The young offender from Windsor was arrested without incident. He's charged with possession of stolen property and breach of probation.
