New Facebook group looks to help local family displaced by fire
It hasn't been a happy holiday for a Woodstock family who lost part their home to fire.
Early Boxing Day morning, a home on Ashton Court went up in flames, causing over $100,000 in damage, claiming all their belongings, including their Christmas gifts.
A Facebook group has been set up to raise donations for the family. They're taking Wal-Mart and grocery store gift cards, as well as donations of gift for the two boys who lost all their presents in the fire.
According to Jamie Holt, the organizer of the initiative on Facebook, there will be a drop off for donations on Thursday, at the Wal-Mart parking lot from 10AM-2PM.
