Members of the Faithway Baptist Church want to be good neighbours and help out with some tasks, all for free!
WOODSTOCK - Members of the Faithway Baptist Church are offering their services free of charge for one week this summer.
They will be doing the Love Your Neighbour event where they will come to your house and help out with anything you may need. Members will help paint, landscape, clean, walk the dog, really whatever chore you need help with. Keith Graydon tells Heart FM they want to make this an annual event.
"We haven't had a response yet, so the event hasn't grown beyond Faithway yet, but when it does were looking to reach out to many churches in the community to give us a hand."
Graydon says they got the idea as a way to let the community know they are moving.
"The starting point was Faithway Baptist Church is moving; we bought the Legion and are moving to that area of town over on Brant Street."
You can email them ahead of time or message them on Facebook and they will have someone available to help you during the week of June 25th to July 2nd. You can contact them on the Love Your Neighbour facebook group or by emailing loveyourneighbour@outlook.com.
