The monthly fly day event hosted by the Canadian Harvard Aircraft Association will have a special theme tomorrow.
TILLSONBURG - The Canadian Harvard Aircraft Association is celebrating a special occasion.
Diana Spremo, a member of the Association, shares the details.
"And we do as I say, these open house and fly days once a month during our season, but we've designated our July event, which happens to be tomorrow, to be a really special 40th anniversary event."
A brief ceremony will take place at 1 p.m., featuring special guests and a birthday cake.
This free, family-friendly outdoor event offers the opportunity to see their collection of Harvard aircraft up close, tour their hangars, and explore their restoration projects. You will also be able to purchase souvenirs and buy a spot to go for a flight. Spremo goes on to say that people will have the ability to fly in an aircraft.
"We sell flights normally anywhere from 20 minutes to one hour. And of course, you know there's a fee involved there. Yeah, but tomorrow on fly day, we're going to have a special introductory flight at 10 minutes for $240."
While pre-booking flights is not necessary, it is highly recommended, as there are limited walk-up flights available. Everyone who flies with the Association must be a member, and memberships cost 75 dollars for the year for adults and can be purchased on-site.
The full fly day event will begin at 9 a.m. and end at 4 p.m. You can get all the information by visiting the event page. Also, you can listen to the full morning show interview below.
