Being in the orange tier means the City of Woodstock can start offering recreation programs for adults once again. This includes adult turf time every Mon-Wed at the Cowan Park Sportsplex.
WOODSTOCK - Southwestern Public Health is officially in the orange tier of the reopening framework.
This means the City of Woodstock can start offering adult programming once again. Today they are having an open house at the Cowan Park Sportsplex for adult turf time.
Adult turf time will run every week between Monday and Wednesday from 1:30 pm until 3:00 pm. The turf time will include several classic backyard games, including CanJam, Bocce Ball, Ladder Ball, Giant Pong, Cornhole, and even Golf Putting.
It does cost $4 per visit or $3.25 for adults 60 and over. Today they hosting a free open house until 3:00 pm if you want to check it out.
If you want to start taking part in adult turf time, the City does ask you to register in advance by calling 519-539-2382 x2740, or online at http://recreationwoodstock.ca.
They will have COVID-19 prevention protocols in place and there is a cap on the amount of people who can participate at one time.
