The test is scheduled for 12:55 p.m. in Ontario.
CANADA - An Alert Ready test will be taking place across most of the country today.
Tests will be taking place in every province in territory today, except for Quebec. Here in Ontario phones, tablets, radios and TVs will go off at 12:55 p.m.
Here is an example of the alert tone you will hear:
Alert Ready is Canada's National Public Alerting System, which notifies the public in case of an emergency. The most common alerts heard in Oxford County include severe thunderstorm warnings, tornado warnings, and Amber Alerts.
The Alert Ready system is always tested twice a year, and the test last in Ontario took place on May 15th, 2024.
