The Norwich Merchants Junior C hockey club will celebrate former players and achievements during their 50th anniversary next season.
NORWICH - The Norwich Merchants are already gearing up for their 50th season.
Next year will mark 50 years for the team and they plan on pulling out all the stops to celebrate that milestone. President Ken Gillanders tells Heart FM they are already planning some special events to commemorate the milestone.
"We've got a committee in place with existing executive members, former players and community members that want to be involved. To do the 50th anniversary justice it takes a lot of planning and effort on our part. I think it is definitely something to celebrate, we can celebrate some of our past players and achievements and maybe bring back people to the arena and renew old acquaintances."
Gillanders says they will be celebrating some of their former players and achievements during the season. He also says they have a few ideas they are kicking around right now and thinks the Fish Fry's will be bigger and better than ever.
