Environment Canada is saying the month of March will bring warmer temperatures to Oxford County.
OXFORD COUNTY - As February ends, it looks like the weather will change as well.
Warning Preparedness Meteorologist with Environment Canada, Eric Tomlinson, says today could reach a high of plus 6, but the rest of the weekend will bring much colder temperatures. Tomlinson adds what the forecast looks like for the beginning of March.
"Into the first week of March, those daytime highs are probably still going to be around the zero mark, slightly below zero. It's only by the middle of the first week of March that we should see daytime highs get into the low single digits."
Tomlinson mentions what people will notice with the temperature as the month of March moves along.
"And then it's usually by the end of March that we really see that durable warm-up. Daytime highs by the end of March are usually between plus 3 and plus 10. So, there's a big difference there between the end of February and then the end of March."
Tomlinson says there is a chance of snow this weekend, but there are not many signs of snow as we move into the month of March.
