One man arrested and facing long list of charges following break and enter in SWOX.
SOUTH-WEST OXFORD -- OPP have made an arrest in connection with the break and enter that occurred in South-West Oxford earlier this week.
Police say the theft happened around 7:45 Monday morning where the thief made off with jewellery, cash, tools, alcohol, electronics, firearms and ammunition.
23 year-old Charles Santa of South-West Oxford has been arrested and charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with:
· Break, enter dwelling house – commit indictable offence
· Break & Enter a place and steal a firearm
· Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
· Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Firearm/ammunition
· Possession of Firearm or Ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order
· Fail to Comply with Probation Order ~ 2 counts
The investigation continues and Santa is being held in custody for a future bail hearing. The firearms, ammunition and some of the property has been recovered.
