The local real estate board sold 187 units last month.
OXFORD COUNTY - It was a below-average month of April for the Woodstock Ingersoll Tillsonburg and Area Association of Realtors (WITAAR).
That being said, President Alison Porter does have some good news to share.
“Despite sales experiencing a decline from last year, recent trends offer a more encouraging picture. April sales totals, although below average for this time of year, posted the highest single month total since spring 2023."
The real estate board sold 187 units last month, which is a 15.8 percent decrease compared to April 2023.
The average home sold for $679,647 which was a slight increase of 2.5 percent compared to the same time last year.
Porter says a lot of people decided to put their homes on the market last month.
"There was a glimmer of hope for listings as there was a significant uptick in the number of newly listed properties in April. As a result, the number of available homes increased for the fourth consecutive month. Market conditions remain balanced, tilting ever so slightly towards a sellers’ market as it has been for the past several months."
WITAAR added 340 new residential listings, which is a 12.6 percent increase compared to last April.
