Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Ingersoll Tillsonburg and District have a number of events planned for September.
OXFORD COUNTY - September is Big Brothers Big Sisters Month.
The Ingersoll, Tillsonburg and District branch is celebrating with a number of events. Executive Director Deb Langdon tells Heart FM about some of the events happening next month.
"On September 4th we have our annual Unifor Local 88 Labour Day picnic. We do face painting there and the event is open to the public from 11 until 3 p.m. We also host our annual baseball game against the OPP. Everyone is encouraged to come out and watch the Big Brothers Big Sisters take on the OPP team which also features young boys from the Tillsonburg area who are part of Cops for Kids."
September 18th is Big Brothers Big Sisters Day. Langdon says they also have a few events happening at the end of the month.
"We are taking part in the Tillsonburg Zombie Adventure on September 23rd at 1 pm at Memorial Park in Tillsonburg. We also have our annual recognition night coming up on Tuesday September 26th. That is being held at the Elm Hurst Inn, they are our host again this year and we will be recognizing our corporate community and volunteers."
