The Tour of Homes returns for another year. Five homes will be on display Saturday.
WOODSTOCK - Five homes in Woodstock are opening their doors and inviting you to come in and have a look around.
This Saturday, June 13, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Woodstock will be hosting the Tour of Homes event. The event invites you to come inside and see some of the interesting features of five local houses. Co-President of Big Brothers Big Sisters Woodstock Cheri Palmer says everything you need to know is printed on your ticket brochure.
"It will show all five homes, and the addresses, and it has a write up on each one of the homes. And then we have a map in the middle of the ticket brochure which shows you where all the homes are. Two of them are on Devonshire, there's one of the corner of Wellington and Jack Poole, and another one on Jack Poole. And then we have one on Champlain which is just off Juliana."
There are different points of interest for each home; sometimes it's an architectural feature or a design choice.
Tickets for the event cost $20 and are still available. They can be picked up at the Big Brothers Big Sisters Woodstock office, Merrifield Book Shop, and each home also has a limited number of tickets available on location during the day of the event. Tour of Homes runs from 12 - 4 p.m.
Each home is sponsored by a community organization which means all the money from the ticket sales go back to Big Brothers Big Sisters. Heart FM is sponsoring the 668 Devonshire Ave home. Other sponsors include Oxford Builders, Different Season Landscaping, Finoro Homes, Best Western Plus, and Computer Graphics and Designs.
