Josh Brick will takeover the CAO position for Blandford-Blenheim Township on January 1st, 2024.
BLANDFORD-BLENHEIM TOWNSHIP - Blandford-Blenheim Township will have a new Chief Administrative Officer in the New Year.
Josh Brick will start his new job on January 1st, 2024. He is no stranger to municipal government, most recently serving as the Director of Corporate Services for the Town of Aylmer.
He's looking forward to this next chapter in his life.
"I am excited to be taking on this new role with the Township of Blandford-Blenheim and look forward to working with an experienced and dedicated staffing complement, as well as the Township's community partners, in supporting Council's vision and implementing its goals."
Mayor Mark Peterson says Brick will have some big shoes to fill, taking over for current CAO Rodger Mordue.
"The position of CAO is not only extremely demanding but also vital to how our Township functions. It was essential that the Township Council selected the right candidate to fill the most senior administrative position in the municipality. We are confident that Mr. Brick will meet the positional demands and bring a fresh perspective to the Township of Blandford-Blenheim in the New Year. We also want to express our deepest appreciation to our outgoing CAO, Rodger Mordue, for his years of dedicated service to the Township of Blandford-Blenheim as a member of Township Council and most recently as CAO."
Mordue was first hired by the Township in 2015 and he will retire at the end of the year.
