DASO will draw the winning ticket on Friday August 30th.
OXFORD COUNTY - The end of August is fast approaching, which means Domestic Abuse Services Oxford (DASO) is getting ready to announce the winner of its 50/50 draw.
The winning ticket will be drawn at 10:00 a.m. this Friday. You can only buy physical tickets for this draw, with a single ticket costing $10 or you can purchase three for $25.
Fundraising and Communications Coordinator Sophie Foster explains where you can find them.
"In Woodstock you can purchase tickets at Whisk & Roll Bakery and Roberts and Co. You can also buy them at Roberts in Co in Ingersoll and we have Betty's Marketplace in Tillsonburg."
Those who want to buy tickets from home can e-mail Foster at sophie@daso.ca.
Foster says all of the proceeds from this 50/50 draw will benefit the programs and services offered by DASO.
"We're a 17-bed emergency shelter, so we offer a crisis line and we work to help women and children escape abusive situations and offer emergency services."
DASO is also celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, hence the 50/50 draw fundraiser for the month of August.
