The County of Brant is offering free public transit for seniors looking to get vaccinated for COVID-19.
BRANT COUNTY - The County of Brant will offer free public transit to seniors going to COVID-19 vaccine clinics.
Brant Mayor David Bailey says they want to work with seniors to make this process as easy as possible.
“The community has come together in incredible ways throughout the pandemic. We understand throughout the pandemic, seniors are at a higher risk of getting very sick from COVID-19. Many seniors have been isolating and missing their family, friends and regular activities. At the County, we will work with seniors to remove barriers and help them get the vaccine as efficiently as possible.”
Effective immediately, all seniors who are requesting Brant eRide for the purpose of accessing a local vaccine clinic will be able to do so free of charge.
Brant eRide is the County’s public transportation service.
You can find more information about how to book a rid online here or call 519-44BRANT (519-442-7268), 1-855-44BRANT.
You will need to book a ride at least 24 hours in advance of your appointment.
