Brant OPP Briefs - August 18th

A 403 collision leads to an impaired charge, and OPP are looking for suspects in two separate theft investigations.

PARIS -  Several items were taken from two vehicles on Churchill Street in Paris on August 7th. 

The Brant OPP is investigating after a black Dodge Ram pick-up and a white Jeep were broken into around 3 am.  Items taken included Cash, bank cards, and credit cards. 

Officers are asking the public who lives in that area to check the security footage for any suspicious activity. 

Anyone with information regarding this case should call the OPP or Crime Stoppers.

BRANT -  Charges have been laid after a two-vehicle collision on the eastbound lanes of the 403. 

Brant OPP Officers were called out to the scene at around 7:30 p.m. on Friday. 

One of the drivers involved fled the scene in a white Honda Civic before police arrived on the scene.  

Police arrested the 41-year-old who was behind the wheel of the other vehicle following the use of an Alcohol Screening Device.

The driver has since been charged with operation while impaired and failure or refusal to comply with demand. They also face a 90-day licence suspension, and their vehicle has been impounded.

PARIS - The Brant OPP is on the lookout for items that were stolen in Paris.

on Saturday, before 9 pm, police say two men entered a business and left with items, fleeing the scene in a white newer model Honda sedan.

The suspects are described as both males, approximately 6 feet tall, aged 25 to 35.  One male with a thin build, the second male with a heavier build. Both are described as having a brown complexion.
