A four storey apartment building is in the preliminary stages of approval for Brock Street.
WOODSTOCK - A Woodstock city planner is trumpeting a new development to the downtown core. The proposed apartment building for 34 Brock Street requires amending a zoning by-law that would allow the lands to accommodate the apartment building.
"Well, I think the benefit of it is what you're doing is constructing a multi-storey, multi-unit building within the downtown core and the goal is to try and get more people in your downtown core," said Woodstock City Planner Ron Veersteegen.
Veersteegen says a few issues need to be dealt with before a four storey apartment building can be constructed on Brock Street. Several residents had brought forth concerns regarding the apartment at a public meeting.
