Tavistock will face Woodstock or Norwich in the Doherty Division Final.
PJHL - It's official, an Oxford County team will win the Doherty Division Championship this year!
The Tavistock Braves secured their spot in the final yesterday, after celebrating a 1-0 victory over the Wellesley Applejacks. Tavistock won the best-of-seven semifinal series 4-0 in the end, and will now battle the winner of the Woodstock Navy Vets and Norwich Merchants semifinal series for the title.
Woodstock took a 2-1 lead in that series last night, after doubling Norwich 4-2 at Southwood Arena. Game 4 is scheduled for tomorrow night at Nor-Del Arena and Game 5 will return to Southwood Arena on Saturday if need be. Friday's game has an 8:00 p.m. start time, and the Saturday matchup would begin at 7:45 p.m.
Meanwhile in the Yeck Division, the Thamesford Trojans are currently trailing their semifinal series against the North Middlesex Stars 2-0. Game 3 will get underway in Thamesford this Friday at 7:30 p.m. and North Middlesex will host Game 4 at 8:00 p.m. this Saturday.
The series will return to Thamesford for Game 5 if needed, with the puck drop scheduled for 8:00 p.m. on Sunday.
