MPP Ernie Hardeman says it will support growth and innovation across the local manufacturing sector
MOUNT ELGIN - The Straw Boss is adding another 6,800 square feet to its facility in Mount Elgin.
It's an investment $3.2 million and owner Mike Hendrikson says it will open lots of doors for them.
"These funds supported a 6,000 square foot expansion, helped us secure new equipment and allowed us to hire five new staff. We’re excited to continue growing and expanding while creating good-paying jobs in the province."
The Straw Boss received $483,136 from the province through the Regional Development Program’s Southwestern Ontario Development Fund for this expansion.
In a press release sent out this morning, Oxford MPP Ernie Hardeman said he's all for is all for this investment.
"By supporting strategic investments from regional businesses, our government is protecting Ontario’s workers and creating the conditions for a strong, stable, and resilient economy that can weather any storm. The investment by The Straw Boss will support growth and innovation across the local manufacturing sector and create more good-paying jobs for workers and families in Oxford."
