The building known as the Ship will be torn down, causing the Woodstock Cadets to find a new space.
WOODSTOCK - The Navy League of Canada's Woodstock Branch is looking for a new home.
They are currently in a building known as the Ship in Southside Park, but some unfortunate news was given by the City. President of the Branch, Brian Kaufman, explains what they were told.
"They've recently done another assessment and determined that the building is not up to their standards and that it's best if it's not being occupied once our current training year is finished in June."
Kaufman says the public has been helpful with trying to find a new space, and he is hard at work.
"We've currently got a couple of different options that we're working on. We're getting a good response from people in the community on spots that are available, may be available."
Kaufman adds that the City has been very good to work with as well, as they have been helping the Navy League look at potential new spots.
