All of the proceeds from the university hockey game will support the Woodstock Wildcats and United Way Oxford.
WOODSTOCK - The Laurier Golden Hawks will face off against the Brock Badgers in the third annual Women's OUA Hockey Game in the Friendly City.
Amanda Kreiger, the Manager of Resource Development for United Way Oxford, says this event not only supports United Way but also the Woodstock Wildcats.
"It's a great partnership and it makes lots of sense. We're giving back to the community and supporting women's hockey here in Woodstock."
The game will take over the Reeves Community Complex in Woodstock on Saturday November 30th with a 6:45 p.m. start time.
Kreiger says it's more than just a hockey game
"We do a chuck-a-puck event, which if you have ever been to a Woodstock Navy Vets game you know it's always lots of fun. We'll also do a 50/50 draw and we have some door prizes! Laurier brings some swag with them which the kids are always so thrilled to win and we also have two PWHL tickets to a Toronto Sceptres game this year."
Tickets are $10 each and they can be purchased online here or at the door the day of.
Amanda Kreiger stopped by the Heart FM studio to chat with Dan and Marcie on Tuesday November 19th. They also talked about the Novemburger campaign, the 12 Days of Christmas campaign coming up in December, and how some of the workplace campaigns have been going.
