Residents of Tillsonburg are making their mark as the town celebrates the 150th with a giant flag.
TILLSONBURG - Some people sign a card to celebrate a birthday, Tillsonburg residents on the other hand are signing a 12 foot by 24 foot flag.
The gigantic Canadian flag is working its way throughout the town collecting signatures in honour of Canada's 150th anniversary.
Jamie Stevenson, the Chair of Tillsonburg's Canada 150 Committee says groups and organizations can rent the flag for events.
"You call the town and sort of mark your day on the calendar - you can take the flag out, have it signed, if you are having a barbeque or tea."
Stevenson tells Heart FM where the flag will be kept once it's completely signed.
"It's definitely going to be at the Annandale National Historic Site as this is a momentous year and part of history. We felt that if we can't find a place to fly it we will definitely have a place for it to be seen."
