
Community Futures Oxford will hand out three Entrepreneur Awards today.
OXFORD COUNTY - Community Futures Oxford is handing out their Entrepreneur Awards.
There is going to be an open house today where three awards will be given to local entrepreneurs.
The categories include Access to Capital Program Entrepreneur of the Year, Young Entrepreneur of the Year, and Community Economic Development Project of the Year. You can see the list of winners and a description of their business below:
Mike Christiaens of U-Fill Water Centre has been given the Access to Capital Program Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Based in Tillsonburg, Mike expanded his business opening a self-serve location in Paris, ON, acquiring an Ingersoll location, and adding a third location in Simcoe, ON. His innovative, around-the-clock service model has proven successful.
Alisha Wilson of Transitions Equine Assisted Learning received the Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Transitions Equine Assisted Learning, located near Tavistock, specializes in equine assisted learning and wellness and provides a variety of unique experiences consisting of team building and leadership programs, Reiki, mindfulness programs, mindset coaching, therapy, and more.
Good for the Soll Music Festival with Deb Hulet of the Ingersoll Lions Club is the Community Economic Development Project of the Year Award Winner. This project received an abundance of praise and recognition for a new initiative last year that drew about 4,000 attendees into Ingersoll. The project is supported by multiple partners and sponsors and was recognized by an Ingersoll Chamber of Commerce Award.
