Golfers unite for the 49th annual Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament
WOODSTOCK - Dust off your golf clubs Oxford because a golf tournament is on the horizon.
The 49th annual Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament is coming to Craigowan on July 4th.
Chairperson of the golf committee, Jim Harrison talks about a new contest this year.
"One of the things we're introducing this year that we've never done before is The Secret Ball. Each foursome receives a ball and they must remain possession of that ball in order to qualify for the prize at the end of the tournament."
He also mentions another prize being put on by Nissan at a hole.
"You want to ace number nine. Nissan is putting up a brand new vehicle so that's the hole to be sharp on.
Registration is at 9:30 in the morning with a shotgun start at 11.
It costs $135 for Craigowan members and $165 for non-members.
Golfers will be provided with a breakfast, BBQ lunch, dinner and a cart.
